|  Waves Andalusia Egypt recognizes the Republic of South Sudan
Foreign Minister Mohamed Orabi Egypt officially recognize the Republic of South Sudan, and that upon the arrival of the Egyptian delegation participating in the celebrations in Juba declaration of the State.
The Egyptian delegation participating in the celebrations, headed by Dr. Yahya Jamal, Deputy Prime Minister, accompanied by Ministers of Electricity and Energy and Foreign Affairs handed over a letter formally recognized the Republic of South Sudan, as confirmed by the Egyptian delegation to the Egypt's keenness on supporting and strengthening relations with our brothers in southern Sudan and to continue the Egyptian role in convergence of views in order to settle outstanding issues between the north and south Sudan, and what he believes is good and stable relations between them in various parts of the region.
Met Orabi with Ban Ki-moon United Nations Secretary General, when he said Egypt's recognition of South Sudan, also discussed with him ways to enhance relations between North and South and efforts to achieve stability and development in various parts of Sudan, and reviewed aspects of cooperation between Egypt and southern Sudan, which comes in the framework of strengthening the presence in the African continent.
